Anders Trentemøller is a Danish electronic musician from Copenhagen. Trentemøller made his debut in 1997 together with DJ T.O.M. when they formed the first live-house act in Denmark, Trigbag, and started playing concerts all over the globe. Trigbag's single “Showtime” was played by international DJs such as Alex Gopher, Laurent Garnier and Etienne de Crécy. Trigbag dissolved in 2000. Trentemøller returned on Naked Music in 2003 with his The Trentemøller EP including the tracks “Le Champagne” and “Work in Progress”.

This English electronic duo, formed in 1999 in London, consists of singer-songwriter and musician Alison Goldfrapp and musician/producer Will Gregory. Prior to the band, Alison guested as a vocalist and songwriter with Tricky, "Orbital" and Peter Gabriel, among others. Goldfrapp's 2000 debut album "Felt Mountain" featured minimalist electronic compositions that consisted of downtempo structures, classical sounding arrangements of strings and light, airy synths alongside Alison's sleek, soft vocals.

IG Culture is a London musician and performer best known as a pioneer of the broken beat movement. He first became known as a member of the hip-hop duo Dodge City Productions in 1990. After the demise of that outfit, he founded an independent record label One Drop Interouter which released four albums. Later, he worked with the People and founded the Main Squeeze labels. Culture founded the New Sector Movements featuring a number of broken beat artists. His production features rhythms and hybrids of several musical styles such as jazz-fusion, funk and soul.

Arthur Tatum, Jr. (1909-10-13 – 1956-11-05) was a famous American jazz pianist known for his virtuosic playing and creative improvisation. Tatum drew inspiration from his contemporaries James P. Johnson and Fats Waller, and had a great influence on other famous jazz pianists, such as Thelonious Monk, Bud Powell, Chick Corea, and Oscar Peterson. Saxophonist Charlie Parker took his first job in New York as a dishwasher where Tatum played, just for the experience of hearing Tatum's harmonic inventions.

Bent is a two-piece downtempo act from Nottingham, England consisting of Neil "Nail" Tolliday and Simon Mills. They gained critical acclaim from their debut album, Programmed to Love, in 2000. The song "Invisible Pedestrian" of the album "Programmed to Love" was featured in an Absolut Vodka commercial that aired in 2003, and more famously, a U.S. Volkswagen bus commercial in the late 90's. Also aired on TV advertisement was "Private Road" also from "Programmed to Love" in the "Bank of Carlsberg" clip in December 2001.

Monolake was formed in 1995 as the duo of Gerhard Behles and Robert Henke, although on later albums the group consisted of Henke alone, with Behles focusing his time on running the Ableton software company. Their sound can generally be described as minimal techno filled with nice touch of fine tech dub, although the 1999 Gobi. The Desert EP, which contains a single 37-minute atmospheric piece, is a notable exception. Monolake first released an album and several 12"s on Berlin's Chain Reaction label, then on Monolake/Imbalance Computer Music, which is operated by Robert Henke.

Hooverphonic is a Belgian rock/pop group formed in 1995. Though initially placed in the trip-hop genre, they quickly expanded their sound to the point where they could no longer be classified so easily. The band originally called themselves Hoover but later changed their name to Hooverphonic due to other groups using the Hoover name. Para One is most known for a string of hard-hitting vinyl only tracks, but the "Beat Down" EP (2003) wasn't his first music venture. From an earlier digital hip hop/reggae era stem some vinyl, cassettes and cd releases on smaller labels such as Co2 Activity, Quality Streetz and N Records. Moving on to colder and more electronic pastures, while seeking to infuse his music with more emotion, he started working with Paris's crunkest rap crew : TTC, joining them on their 2 lp's "Ceci n'est pas un disque" and the hit "Batards Sensibles" (Big Dada).
